The International Music Competition "Grand Prize Virtuoso" is open to all nationalities and ages in strings, piano, wind, vocal and chamber music, each discipline is divided into different age categories: Young Musician (8 years old and younger), Junior (9 to 12 years old), Intermediate (13 to 15 years old), Advanced (16 to 18 years old) and Senior (no age limit). Chamber music is divided into three age categories: Group A (under 12 years old), Group B (13-18 years old) and Group C (19 years old and older).
Participants are required to submit video/audio recording materials for the audition. The final selections of winners are based solely on the same recordings submitted. Multiple winners will be chosen in each age category.
A selected group of winners will receive an invitation to to debut at the prestigious Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie in Berlin on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12, 2025, in this hall the most renowned worldwide artists have performed and it's the home of world-famous Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and/or at the Gläserner Saal, Musikverein, it is the home of the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra and the venue for the annual Vienna New Year's Concert on April 8-9, 2025.
Winners who receive an invitation to play at the winners' concert, and decide to decline the invitation and not travel, will receive their prize diploma and medal by mail (for free).
Our competition wants to encourage young musicians to perform and grow. We believe that our competition can offer many benefits to our participants, and help to build their confidence and realize their dreams. Our purpose is to discover artists of outstanding personality and provide awards, which can help to launch international careers.
The aim of our special prizes is to find performers with a strong artistic personality and stage presence. The emphasis is therefore not on the purely technical aspect of the performance, but also on the artistic charisma of the performer. All these concerts and projects are remunerated and part of the competition.
